“Not happening on my court”: Joel Embiid on Stephen Curry surpassing Ray Allen in All-Time 3-Point Record

All eyes were on Golden State’s Stephen Curry when the Warriors locked on against the 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. Known to be one of the most brutal courts for away players, Curry had only 10 3-pointers to make in order to surpass Ray Allen in the all-time NBA record. But with Joel Embiid present and leading the team in full-form, he surely did not allow the 33-years-old marquee shooter form downtown to register that empathic court.
To those who missed the Warriors vs 76ers showdown, Curry was well below his best as he managed to knock only 18 points, being 3-of-14-from downtown. Moreover, the Philadelphia 76ers came from behind to seize the game against the best team in the NBA so far. Moreover, with Seth Curry on the other side, it was Joel Embiid who took the headline with his performance on the court, even after the game ended.

Joel Embiid haults Stephen Curry from breaking Ray Allen’s 3-point record
After the 76ers won the game against the Warriors 102-93, Joel Embiid was asked upon Stephen Curry breaking the 3-point record, to which he responded, “That was not happening on my court. That was not happening in Philly. This is my city.”
Joel Embiid went onto score game-high 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Moreover, the home team found the MVP runner-up every time they were in dire need to of scoring points.
On the other hand, apart from Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole and Andre Wiggins endured decent outings as they combined to score 43 points for the away team. After this loss, Curry has seven 3-pointers to score in the next game to surpass Ray Allen.
