Stephen A. Smith warns Miami Heat of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving
The Miami Heat have become an unstoppable force in the east, despite their struggling start in the current season, they have managed to keep a balance in their performance. With this consistency, they are now getting closer to the NBA championship day by day. Currently, the Heat are placed in the first seed of the eastern conference with a record of 47-27 and are having a winning percentage of .635.
Although the Miami Heat are getting tough competition from the Milwaukee Bucks for the first position in the east, it is still expected that they will end up being placed first, if nothing goes wrong for them. It is predicted that if Heat remains in their position, they are most likely to face the Brooklyn Nets or Toronto Raptors in the first rounds of the playoffs, well it also depends on the results of the play-in tournament which will start after the regular season ends.

Stephen A. Smith believes Miami Heat should watch out for the Brooklyn Nets
In the recent episode of the First Take show of ESPN, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith talked about the possibilities of the Heat facing the Nets in the playoffs, whereas he also discussed an interesting stat which says that the Heat has crushed the Nets three times in this season, but he added that whenever the Heat defeated Nets, they never faced the duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving together.
Stephen A. Smith said, “Miami has beaten the Brooklyn Nets all three times they have played this season. Not one time have they faced both Kyrie and KD together. That has not happened, that changes this weekend but we shall see.”

Smith does have a point in his statement, as the Nets in this whole season are not able to perform with their full potential due to Irving vaccine controversy, the regular internal conflict, Covid safety protocols, injuries to the big three of Nets. But now things are looking good and balanced for them as the duo of Irving and Durant are available for both home and road games.
With their full potential, the Brooklyn Nets will go against the Miami Heat this Sunday. The result of the game will clarify who has the true capability to run deep into the playoffs and which team is a better contender for the 2021-22 NBA championship.
