Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley are an iconic duo when it comes to sports television. They are always entertaining and hilarious. Yesterday was no exception. They both expressed support for their former teams. Shaquille chose the Lakers, while Charles Barkley chose the Suns. Before the Lakers vs. Suns, the NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinal matchup began. Despite his well-known fondness for gambling, Charles Barkley strongly withdrew from Shaquille O’Neal’s wager on Tuesday night.
Before the quarterfinal match, both ex-players had even talked each other into a $30 million wager. The two NBA greats took sides with their previous teams. Shaq even upped the ante after Barkley first proposed a $15 million wager. Barkley, who kept that he did not want to be poor or black, found the $30 million figure to be too much.

Charles Barkley said:
30? I don't want to be Black and poor again.
Shaquille O’Neal countered with a $30 million wager, but Barkley, who reportedly has a net worth of $60 million and inked a nine-figure contract with Turner Sports last year, rejected it right away. Barkley’s fear came true, and as we all know, this is the reason behind his infamous “guaranteed” curse.
LeBron James scored 15 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, as Shaq predicted. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns 106-103 on Tuesday night to clinch the final semifinal spot in the first NBA In-Season Tournament.
Is it over for the Celtics as Charles Barkley “guaranteed” curse choose them?
Many, including NBA legend Charles Barkley, who even “guarantees” the Boston Celtics‘ 18th championship hopes, think they can finally win it this season. Currently, it appears that Barkley is losing focus on whichever team he supports. The Indiana Pacers eliminated the Boston Celtics from the NBA In-Season Tournament shortly after the 1993 MVP proclaimed them to be the league’s best team.

Barkley said that Kristaps Porzingis doesn’t have to be that player in response to Shaquille O’Neal’s question about how dominant he must be in the postseason for the Celtics to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Barkley stated that he needs to be the NBA’s best number four. Boston has the second-best record in the league at 15-5. The Celtics also own the Association’s most remarkable top six.
He then looked to the New York Knicks to bring down the Milwaukee Bucks, only to watch that prophecy likewise collapse horribly. To make matters worse, his most recent prediction suffered the same fate and was eliminated from the In-Season Tournament in the quarterfinals.
