It has been more than 940 days when NBA fans saw Klay Thompson in action. But as thing stand, the Warriors vs Cavaliers matchup has been all about the return of Klay Thompson. From Kevin Durant, to Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, all former and current players just want to be on the court with Thompson who has worked day-in-day-out to make his return a reality in the 2021-22 season. 

However, as soon as Klay Thompson stepped out on the floor for the pre-game workout, fans gave him a warm cheer. Moreover, with Klay Thompson’s name being called out as a starter, it seemed like the excitement at Staples Center is through the roof as everything about the latest matchup has been about the five-time All Star. Having already received votes to get a seat at the 2022 All-Star game, Thompson seems to get his music going.

Fans loose cool as Klay Thompson scores first point vs Cavaliers 

With the game starting, Thompson was handed the ball with expectations of scoring the first point for the home team. And Boy! Did he not respond by scoring the first points in epic fashion. With the Cavaliers starting the scoring in this contest, Andre Wiggins, gave the ball to Klay, who got past the defender and hung in air for an unreal time to score from his first layup.

Although, it is obvious that Klay Thompson will witness a cut in game-time but everything that he does in this game will be cheered by not only the home fans but millions all around the globe. Given that, Thompson loves the Golden State Warriors and the Dub Nation to death, it is remarkable to see how that love is reciprocated.

That being said, with only the first five minutes of the Cavaliers vs Warriors getting through, Thompson has missed couple of layups. Yet his optimism seems to not be described in words as the festivity continues at Staples Center. How many points will he be able to score? Remains to be seen as fans simply cannot have enough of Thompson.
