“On impressive rating, I give them a 3”: Skip Bayless takes a dig at LeBron’s Lakers despite ending 3-game losing streak against Jazz

Stanley Johnson, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Skip Bayless

Skip Bayless the biggest LeBron James hater and a player critic who is also a sports columnist and host at Fox Sports Media Group’s Undisputed is back at targeting not only the King but the whole squad even thought they ended their 3 games loosing streak against a better competitor. The Los Angeles Lakers have never been the 2020 Lakers since the bubble, as they got their young core exchanged for veterans this offseason which sometimes looks like a mistake by the front desk and LeBron James as the core is doing better with other teams. The expectations Los Angeles Lakers drew on paper as Championship contenders is totally different in reality as they are the most criticized team this season so far.

Recently the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Utah Jazz at the Crypto.com Arena and battling a close contested match-up the Los Angeles Lakers stepped up and won it all by 6 points as the final box score is 101-95. The Utah Jazz are currently ranked as the 4th seed in the western conference with the record of 29 wins and 15 losses at .659 while the Los Angeles Lakers are ranked as the 7th seed in the western conference with the record tied at 22 wins and 22 losses at .500. The result was very unexpected as the Jazz are a better team compared to Lakers in every stat.

Skip Bayless after the game ended sitting with the co-host Shannon Sharpe discussed the game and criticized both the teams while focusing on the Lakers as everyone knows which side LeBron James is on. Everything he criticized the team for he had backed up with stats and figures so his statements couldn’t be countered or disagreed to as Shannon Sharpe like every other lake-nation fan still believes in Los Angeles Lakers changing it all around and winning the championship.

Skip Bayless criticism on Los Angeles Lakers

Skip Bayless in his criticism for the team despite them stepping up in clutch and winning was very hot as he quoted: “I will give the Lakers performance last night on a impressive scale of 1 to 10 a 3. The reason I give it a three is because Utah came in as number one in NBA in offensive efficiency the Lakers came in as 17th in the defensive efficiency. So what really happened last night, would you believe that this four players of Utah Jazz combined to go 1 for 26 from 3. These four players were Donovan Mitchell….Even worse they went 0 for 9 in the fourth quarter. I watched the whole game from start to finish…. I saw an aberration I saw a fluke-ish game.”

After criticizing both the ends the Lakers for grabbing a easy win and Jazz for a shooting slump. Skip further moved on to talk about Russell Westbrook. As he started to speak it seemed like he had flowers for Russell something no one expected but living up-to the expectations he ended up criticizing him as he quoted “Russ’ dunk with 8 minutes and 19 seconds left being down 9 and it lifted everything it changed life, no it didn’t.” Further Skip gave all the credits for the win to Stanley Johnson while again criticizing the Los Angeles Lakers for having him on his 3rd 10- day contract and not a deal.

The season is half way through and the Lakers have been consistently inconsistent when it comes to win games as LeBron James stepping up with MVP calibre performances isn’t enough if the supporting cast like Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis (out for some more weeks due to a MCL sprain) don’t step their game a level up to win. Currently the Los Angeles Lakers have shifted to a centerless game to get more of mobility rather than size. The front office is also active and has some major changes on radar which can get a star or two hooping around in some other uniforms by the trade deadline.
