“Pick a side but don’t straddle the fence”: Draymond Green criticizes NBA for postponing the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets game
Draymond Green and Adam Silver
The National Basketball Association has remained firm on continuing the season without a break or shifting to a Bubble environment for players safety like the organization did back in 2020 at Orlando. The league is currently undergoing a COVID-19 outbreak which has led many players, coaches, staff of teams around the league side-lined due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols and this has also resulted in postponing many games.
The National Basketball Association has currently postponed 11 games this season due to players unavailability and COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The latest postponement of Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets game isn’t really liked by Warriors’ Draymond Green and he has a totally different theory with this new concept of NBA to postpone games due to players unavailability. Draymond Green is the most important piece of Golden State Warriors who really runs the court and being one of the best defender in the league he also sets the offensive end of Golden State warriors with some good playmaking skills and important right time decisions which provide wide open shots to his teammates.
The 31 years old veteran has been around the league for good 9 years and being afraid of none Draymond Green has always made sure his opinions are heard and taken care off. The Defensive Player of the Year 2017 has always used his strong voice to speak facts which make sense and this time making into headlines by getting his tweet viral for criticizing the National Basketball Association for postponing the game is back with some hot takes towards the league. Draymond Green this season has already been in trend for his amazing performance defensively and views which he shares around in interviews and podcasts based on events happening in the league.

Draymond Green on NBA deciding to postpone Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors’ game
Draymond Green isn’t happy with league’s decision of postponing the game as Denver Nuggets don’t have 8 players available to play against the Golden State Warriors and following the news Green took on to his personal Twitter handle and tweeting his thoughts out, he said :- “How do you continue to cancel games when you’ve implemented rules to prevent this from happening? Is that not a competitive advantage for other teams? The guys we didn’t have due to the protocol list played no role in Tuesday’s loss? Pick a side but don’t straddle the fence.“
Draymond Green criticized the league for postponement as he mentioned that Golden State Warriors were also shorthanded on their last match-up against the Denver Nuggets and didn’t receive this special treatment which resulted in a loss. He further also stated that the league should stick with its protocols or have the same kind of treatment for both the ends and shouldn’t straddle the fence. Draymond Green made sense as he mentioned the factor of competitive advantage because adding a win to their record against short handed Golden State Warriors the Denver Nuggets got their matchup against the healthy Warriors’ postponed. Somewhere it is also a fault of Denver Nuggets as they decided to not play instead of signing some new names under Hardship exception of NBA which allows teams to get players under 10-days contract.
Following this was another tweet by Draymond Green where he quoted: “So when the game is rescheduled (which will probably take a day away from our “break”), we will play them at full strength … But they got to sneak a win when we weren’t at full strength, only two days ago??? Let’s make it make some sense here.” In this tweet Green again focused on the competitive advantages the Denver Nuggets just got into.
This didn’t really end their as Draymond Green was back at it with another tweet again pointing out the advantages Denver Nuggets got as, he said:-“Not to mention, this will more than likely add a back to back to our schedule, which is also advantage Denver.” Green is upset with league’s decision since he and the Golden State Warriors were ready to revenge against the Denver Nuggets after 86-89 loss in their last match-up.
