Following the games of Christmas Day, the league members are sitting to discuss the NBA’s future In-Season Tournaments.

According to ESPN’s sources:  “There’s renewed traction on a future In-Season Tournament in the NBA. The league and union are discussing a structure that includes December pool play, pre-Christmas quarters/semis/finals and $1M per player payout on the winning team. It is reported that the news regarding the same would be confirmed in the next NBA’s Countdown.”

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there are a ton of players sitting outside the court and the league is taking this situation very seriously. Though the NBA wants to move forward with the league and keep in mind the player’s safety the NBA Commissioner Adam Silver already shared his thoughts on the same, as he said “Maybe we can demonstrate that there’s a way that people can move forward, again recognizing that this virus, unfortunately, isn’t going anywhere, It’s just going to become part of our lives for the foreseeable future.”

By this, we can assume that the NBA would be proceeding being very keen about structure of the league and that might be the same as what the fans want from them.
