Skip Bayless unimpressed by Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook finally had an above decent game as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the league’s worst team Orlando Magic 116-105. Skip Bayless, the hard-to-please analyst for FS1, is expectedly still not impressed as he had some words again for the Lakers. The Lakers improve their record to 23-23 after this Friday night win in Orlando.

LeBron James extends his 25+ point games streak to 16 games, as he scored 29 points. James also had seven rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block to his name. Malik Monk and Stanley Johnson had 10 and 11 points respectively off the bench. Carmelo Anthony was red hot during his time on the floor as he went 8-13 from the field and 4-5 from downtown for a 23 point effort.

Russell Westbrook had a good game, being efficient 8-17 from the field, scoring 18 points in the process. He also had 11 rebounds and seven assists. He had his most efficient night of January, shooting at 47% from the field. He also did well to not hurt the team by taking unnecessary three-pointers. He took just one three-pointer which he missed, unfortunately. It is a welcome win for the Lakers and if the rumors are anything to go by, Coach Frank Vogel would live to fight another day before he gets sacked.

Skip Bayless was still not impressed by the Lakers’ victory against the worst team in the league. This reaction was maybe illicit by the fact that the Lakers still trailed by as much as 10 points at one point in the game. He made fun of Westbrook having a sense of pride after playing till 1:30 remained in the game and the fact that he ‘rocked the baby‘ after scoring a bucket.

Skip tweeted – “Vogel let Russ play all the way until 1:30 left in a blowout at Orlando, which has the NBA’s worst record. He even scored underneath with 2mins left and rocked the baby. Pure comedy.” The Lakers will next visit Miami in what is destined to be another tough outing for the men in purple and gold. The Miami Heat have the 3rd best record in the Eastern Conference
