Rookie Josh Giddey has become the star player of the Oklahoma City Thunder in just his first season, he has shown some stunning games which no one expected from him. While playing against the Knicks, he recorded a triple-double which eventually led the Thunders to the OT victory by 127-123.
With these stats, Giddey breaks the tied record with Luka Doncic for the most triple-doubles by a teenager in NBA history and it is also expected that he will soon make a record of 11 TD, surpassing LeBron James. Meanwhile, he also became the third rookie to record a triple-double on his Madison Square Garden debut.

Thunder star rookie was showing some amazing moves against the Knicks as he scored 28 points, with 11 rebounds and 12 assists. He made 11 shots from 22 attempts from inside the arc and scored three 3-pointers from behind the arc. With his performance, he was able to break the five-game losing streak for the Thunders.
The sixth overall pick in last year’s draft didn’t have his feet on the land after the game, he was happy but flowed into the emotion which led him to insult the Knicks fans through a tweet. Giddey showed his love to the crowd present in the Madison Square Garden on Monday with a smiley emoji in his tweet. Surely, this burned the fans of the Knicks.

The Knicks fans were annoyed as they didn’t want to get rubbed by the opponent’s rookie player after losing the game against them. Later in the postgame interview, Giddey shared how excited he was to play in the New York stadium.
“This was the place I was most excited when I got drafted to come in to play,” said Giddey. “You hear so many things, so many stories about the Garden, and I had circled it on my calendar for a long time.”
“It was everything I expected,” Giddey said of his first game at MSG. “The fans are awesome. They’re into the game; a packed house. It’s everything I’ve seen on TV, being told about.”

Josh Giddey is surely an upcoming star as stats are speaking for him, hopefully, he will become an asset for the Thunders. With these performances, he is proving his worth for the candidacy of the ‘rookie of the year’ title this season and had earned the points to go up in the rookie list.
