Golden State Warriors’ star player, The Baby-Faced Assassin, Stephen Curry has become used to breaking records and passing milestones in several different criteria.
He broke the record for most 3-pointers made in the NBA history, passing Ray Allen in the month of December, and now the most recent one is a Franchise History Record.

In their match against Brooklyn Nets, the Warriors’ Guard, Stephen Curry broke the franchise record for most games played with the team, amounting to 808, passing Chris Mullin who previously held the record for playing 807 games with the team.

What’s also important to notice is that Chris Mullin scored 16,235 points with the Warriors, while the new age phenom Curry has scored over 19,500 points, and they’re still counting!

In their match against the Nets which the Warriors won by a margin of 106-110, Stephen Curry scored 19 points, while the scoring leader on their side was Andrew Wiggins with 24 points.

With Klay Thompson back alongside his “Splash Brother” Stephen Curry and the rest of the team, the Warriors seem to be regaining form, while defeating Kyrie Irving’s Brooklyn Nets.

Though not in very good form, Curry scored 19 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds in the 36 minutes played, while Klay Thompson after being back from a 2 ½ year injury layoff scored 16 points, also including a decisive 3-pointer that he made at the closing moments of the match taking his team to victory.

In reaction to the smooth, decisive 3-pointer that he made, Klay said “It felt amazing, it really did. I missed that feeling, it felt absolutely amazing”. Even coach Steve Kerr appreciated the moment as he said “It’s important for Klay to feel those big moments. It’s been 2 ½ years” highlighting the importance of Klay coming back in form to lead the Warriors alongside Steph.

Andrew Wiggins led the way for the Warriors with 24 points, 2 assists and 8 rebounds in the 37 minutes that he played.

For the Nets, Kyrie Irving scored 32 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds while being booed by the Warriors’ home crowd, and Patty Mills scored 24 points along with 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Despite the commendable effort by the players, the team fell short and couldn’t win, further worsening their record to 29-20 while being on a 4-match losing streak, now standing at the 6th position in the Eastern Conference.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors

The name Stephen Curry has recently been all over the NBA record books, be it him breaking the all time 3-pointers’ record or now him playing the most games with Warriors, he shall always be discussed for some thing or the other.

Though Stephen Curry might not have been in elite form since the past few weeks, the Warriors remain showing their class as they now stand on a 6-match winning streak with a 37-13 record, also being at the 2nd position in the Western Conference table right behind Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns.

With Stephen Curry now breaking the all-time Franchise record for the most matches played with the team, the fans will hope for him to stay with them for many years to come, and even Curry doesn’t seem to have any intentions to change the way things are going. The only thing he needs to change is the form he has been in recently. Though the team seems to be winning, Curry hasn’t been in peak form, or hasn’t performed at least the way you would expect him to, and it is now for us to see how Curry changes things for himself and turns the tide around in his favour.
