Sonya Curry and her husband Dell were known to be one of the most adorable couples in league as they were often spotted holding hand in basketball games. The NBA world was shocked when Sonya decided to file for a divorce from Dell eight months earlier. More than anyone, it seemed like their son Stephen Curry was in no mood to believe the same news for some time as well.

The 3-Point King is struggling to cope with the fact that his parents have decided to go separate ways after 33 years of marriage. Stephen Curry admitted to personal difficulties he has to face in this ordeal. That being said, the Golden State Warriors’ marquee has decided to support his parents in this venture and has not gone onto retaliate in any manner.

“It’s challenging for sure,” Curry said, via Logan Murdock of The Ringer. “I could be mad and be like, ‘Y’all effed this up.’ I could have that approach. But it’s going to be an acknowledgment of both of y’all in terms of how y’all raised me. The calmness I have in myself is because of y’all.” 

“I had to make sure I was in that moment with both of them separately and this wasn’t just this whole kind of thing,” Curry concluded. “That is how I choose to approach that. Because it is challenging.”

That being said, Stephen Curry also has a family now and he has a deeper understanding of the dynamics of marriage. He has been married to his long-love sweetheart Ayesha Curry for more than a decade now and they are the parents to three loving children. He’s clearly mature enough to accept Sonya and Dell Curry’s decision to separate, and he isn’t holding this against them.

Now with the All-Star weekend approaching, Stephen Curry will be all focused to safely be among the MVP contenders. Apart from which, what a spectacle it would be to witness, Curry joining forces alongside LeBron, DeMar and Giannis, among others.
