“That’s Competitive mentality”: NBA Twitter reacts to LaMelo Ball lashing out on teammate PJ Washington and James Bouknight after saving Hornets from ultimate embarrassment
LaMelo Ball
LaMelo Ball recently replaced Kevin Durant in the All-Star game and since then has been godlike as he balls out with Charlotte Hornets. Recently the Hornets hosted the Ja Morant led Memphis Grizzlies at Spectrum Center. The game was dominated by the Grizzlies in the first half as they were able to hold down the offensive end of the Hornets while running well in the post and getting the most points possible. Eventually, they also won the game as the final box score stands at 118-125.
LaMelo Ball in the second half was heated up as he took on the charge in his hand trying to cut the leadoff and win the game. With him as the leader and ball controller for the major time in the second half, the Charlotte Hornets were able to outscore the Memphis Grizzlies in both the remaining quarters but still fell short to win the game. The match-up in the fourth quarter soon turned into a closely contested and head-to-head one as the teams were seen running coast to coast to secure the win.
LaMelo Ball in the defeat against Grizzlies dropped 25 points, 2 assists and 4 rebounds as he showcased his competitive mentality. LaMelo Ball with 2 minutes 55 seconds remaining for the game to end had the floor hot and spiced up. As swishing a three from downtown and then adding a big-time lay-up to it grabbing five points for the team he turned the overall score into a seven-point game. This increased their chances to win it all in a comeback but that didn’t happen. Since Melo was soon mad at some officials and his teammates as he pushed many on his way to the bench.

Twitter reacts to LaMelo Ball’s competitive mentality
LaMelo Ball was annoyed with the officials as they didn’t call a foul when he drived in for a lay-up and cut the lead to seven. In fact, he was on his way to go and have a talk with the official near the baseline which would have resulted in a technical foul or ejection as he was already rude and angry. So his teammates jumped in and tried to calm him down especially James Bouknight and PJ Washington as they tried to hold him back. But wanting a foul that bad to win the game Ball pushed them back and went to the bench as a timeout was called.
Fans are amazed at this reaction of Ball as he showcased his competitive mentality to make the most he can and win the game something very necessary as play-offs near.
