“The Poku Experience” – Twitter reacts to Aleksej Pokusevski’s epic failed reverse dunk

Aleksej Pokusevski of the Oklahoma City Thunder gave the fans a moment to remember even though he couldn’t lead his team to victory. The 7-footer Serbian is the starting Center for the rebuilding Oklahoma City Thunder. The OKC are 13-23 for the season and the 3rd worst team in the Western Conference.

The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. Thunder lost 86-95 to the Mavericks, who had the All-Star Luka Doncic back with them. Luka came back after 23 days, scoring almost a Triple-double in about 30 minutes of playtime. He had 14 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds for the game.

Aleksej Pokusevski stars in the sloppy basketball sequence

Aleksej Pokusevski or Poku or The Poku Experience as he is popularly known among the fans was the star of a hilarious sequence in the game. At the start of the game, a few minutes into the first quarter, Pokusevski blocked a three-point shot from Dorian Finney-Smith. He started running with the ball towards the rim for a reverse two-handed dunk. Poku ended up missing it completely and the ball was rebounded by Finney-Smith of the Mavericks.

Jalen Brunson then had possession of the ball and made a bad pass. The ball was deflected and stolen by – you guessed it right – Aleksej Pokusevski. He got another open lane and this time he went for a simple one-handed jam. He made it this time to give his team east two points. The Twitter reaction to this play was absolute gold. Some people mocked Poku for missing the dunk being a 7-footer while some lowkey wanted him to miss the second dunk too.
