The Los Angeles Lakers have been well below par in the 2021-22 season and it is no surprise to see that there have been numerous players and celebrities wanting to take shots at them. The LeBron James’ army are 7-wins below .500 win ratio and they have only 19 games in hand. Such being the cryptic situation, Saturday Night Love’s Colin Jost decided to cross limits to roast LeBron James’ Lakers.
With tough competition coming from the Portland Trail blazers and New Orleans Pelicans, it seems like the Los Angeles Lakers have a mountain to climb in order to give themselves a chance to fight for the playoff berths. Having beaten the Golden State Warriors, to end their 4-game losing streak, LeBron James’ Lakers were surely not being spared by Colin Jost.

How did Colin Jost roast Lakers?
Saturday Night Live got in on the fun of roasting the Lakers. Colin Jost dissed them for their age and poor leadership on SNL’s Weekend Update segment.
The Lakers have been an epic mess this season. Injuries, on-court struggles, a lack of chemistry and a ton of miserable losses have defined this season for the purple and gold. Some might suggest, Colin Jost’s roast is spot on.
Anthony Davis only playing half of the season to this point is a reason for the Lakers’ problems. But they would still have a lot to figure out. The trade for Russell Westbrook ensured a fracture between the Lakers and James and sacrificed a lot of flexibility in exchange for a player that is on the verge of being benched.
LeBron James’ 56-point explosion can be the turning point, if the purple and gold army wants to experience a change in direction. But having to answer their critics after losing out to Phoenix Suns in the first-round playoffs last season, will the Lakers be able to gather moment when Davis joins forces alongside LeBron in the business end? Remains to be seen as the festivity of 2021-22 season carries on.
