A fight is needed from the Lakers to finish as contenders
The Lakers are drowning in the league after another humiliating loss to the Houston Rockets in overtime. The road to the play-in tournament is not going to be a walk in the park for the purple and gold army. With so many losses since the All-Star break, they need to focus one game at a time in order to make it to the playoffs, things just don’t seem to work for the Lakers and it’s ultimately taking a toll on the players and the staff.
They have just 16 games remaining to make it to the playoffs, and even that road is not going to be a piece of cake, they will be on the road for 11 games, meaning only 5 games will be played at home for them, they are going to be mentally and physically prepared to finish the season off. The teams that the Lakers will be facing are top-half teams, teams that are gaining momentum as they end the season. They will be facing the likes of Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, and Denver Nuggets, all of which will be away from home.
