“This is an utter disgrace of defensive play!” Stephen A. Smith gets brutally honest on Lakers, LeBron James after a lackluster performance against Chris Paul-less Suns
Stephen A. Smith and LeBron James
The loss Angeles Lakers have lost yet again, it is now becoming a regular phrase to describe the Lakers every other day, the Lakers were smashed by the Phoenix Suns after they dropped 140 points over the Lakers, it seems that the Lakers almost gave up on defense. Stephen A. Smith has been set off after their showing in a defenseless display.
The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns was the day’s highlight of a one-sided game, with only 2 lead changes, which took place in the initial minutes of the game. The first quarter was a huge quarter for the Suns where they outscored the Lakers by 48-22, it has left fans and critics to wonder what the hell was going on with the Lakers defensively, by conceding 48-points in just the 1st quarter. On top of that, the Phoenix Suns were without Chris Paul and Devin Booker leading the proceedings, who just forced his authority over the Lakers.
Stephen A. Smith gives his honest opinion about the game
The Lakers have been through a thorough thrashing by the Phoenix Suns, and the scoreline speaks for itself, 140-111. The Suns had a fine 1st quarter scoring 48-points to lead the proceedings, it almost felt like the Lakers have given up even before things got underway. The Lakers didn’t even put in the effort to stop the Suns, and LeBron James has been criticized for everything. LeBron James commented on their team’s defensive issues, “We have no sense of urgency getting back on the defensive end, we got to do a better job man.” Said, LeBron James.
But it was Stephen A. Smith who has been frustrated with the showing from the Lakers and took to Twitter to vent it all out. It looks like a lost cause now for the Lakers and they have shown it last night after their disgraceful performance against the Phoenix Suns. Lakers just want the season to end, and probably all the fans too, after all the fans can’t be blamed for expecting them to win, only to come out with a series of losses.
