A few days ago, analyst Kendrick Perkins had picked the Celtics as his dark horse out of the East as they put up stellar performances consistently following the All-Star games. In light of the Robert Williams injury, he is expected to return after four to six weeks which may affect the team’s overall performance as it did last night. Both teams may need to face the defending champions this season and the question of who is the tougher matchup rose.

Perkins chose his team saying, “You gotta go with the Miami Heat. Listen, one is that this matchup is personal. If we look over the past two years, we saw the Miami Heat beat the Bucks in the bubble. We saw last year the Bucks swept the Heat. And now the Heat are healthy and as a matter of fact, they stole one of their players in PJ Tucker.”

“They are the only team in my opinion that has the personnel to slow down Giannis. And when you look at this season, in particular, they held Giannis when they played them four times, in two of those games Giannis was held to fifteen points.” Perkins followed up his statement by highlighting how defensively heavy the Heat are this season.
