“This rule is unfair”: Jay Williams joins Adam Silver to urge fans in changing their perception towards unvaccinated Kyrie Irving

Jay Williams on ESPN’s First Take joined Adam Silver’s club as recently he gave a statement on Kyrie Irving not being able to play at Barclays Center due to New York’s vaccine mandate. Adam Silver in his rally of words also mentioned how Kyrie being a home player isn’t allowed to play at the home but the other unvaccinated away players are allowed to. For months many fans didn’t even knew that Kyrie isn’t the only unvaccinated player in the league there are many but he is the only one to be criticized and hated.
Since unvaccinated Kyrie Irving isn’t allowed for the home games the team is really struggling in his absence as Kevin Durant is injured and side-lined while James Harden left the team because of Kyrie being a part-time player. Currently, the Brooklyn Nets are ranked as the 8th seed in the eastern conference of the league with the record of 31 wins and 28 losses at .525. The team was also maintaining 11 games losing streak with their starless roster and Kyrie faced heavy criticism for all those losses.
Jay Williams a former NBA player whose career unfortunately ended due to a motorcycle accident appearing on ESPN’s First Take made sure that the truth is out and known after Adam Silver initiated the topic. The segment at First Take was named as “Does this change your perception of Kyrie Irving?” and Jay Williams had a lot to say about it.

Jay Williams discussing the unvaccinated Kyrie Irving and not being allowed to play at Barclays Center quoted: “Adam Silver saying hey this rule is unfair and this hopefully makes people think differently about how they view Kyrie Irving in this situation. I am not making excuses about past things that Kyrie Irving has done. That’s not what I’m tryna sit on National TV and do. But I think what happen when we started seeing the list of other unvaccinated players who have been able to continue to play in their respective cities but this is been happening to Kyrie Irving and people are double and tripled down on Kyrie Irving. Hold on a second guys … But all of a sudden it seems like Adam Silver has acknowledged it and he is right. I’m just tryna say it is been right. This is been the debate we were having for the past five months. But for some reason it is Adam Silver to say and it is a direct message to Eric Adam saying Fix it.”
Jay Williams was honest when he vouched for Kyrie Irving and the criticism he gets which is very unfair and partial. Since there are many other players in the league too who are in the same situation doing it all and getting away with it as they don’t get noticed or criticized by fans. Jay also requested fans to change their perspective towards unvaccinated Kyrie Irving. With all these news and statements being hot and spiced up maybe we can soon find Kyrie Irving playing back at the home too.
