For the Chicago Bulls, Dennis Rodman was a key piece surrounding the teammate, franchise, and NBA great Michael Jordon. Rodman was known for his top-level rebounding skills and aggressive playing that helped the Bulls through the toughest teams.
Apart from his performance, he lived a very lavish lifestyle while being one of the league’s most outspoken and bold players. Despite having insane skills on the basketball court, Rodman had a questionable character. Some crazy stories about the former legend include him skipping practice to attend a professional wrestling event, cursing out on Mormons, excessive partying, and sometimes flashing his money in a very humble way.
Despite Rodman’s tendencies of lashing out, this particular incident that took place during their champion chip-winning game against the Utah Jazz and Rodman’s reaction would shock you.
Rodman faced a potential fine after exchange with a fan
During the NBA finals in 1998, the Chicago Bulls had to face the Utah Jazz in game 6 on a possible three-peat with the legendary trio of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. The Bulls would end up upsetting the Jazz 87-86 winning their third title in a row. The Bulls had defeated the Jazz in the finals back to back after having faced the previous year.
After the upset, Utah Jazz fans were left with a bitter taste in their mouth once again. One fan felt the need to throw a cup of coke to Dennis Rodman’s face. Rodman unlike his usual self did not have much of a reaction but just stopped and stared at the fan. Take a look at this video.
Among the holy trinity, Michael Jordan had 45 points and 4 steals in the game while Rodman took care of the rebounding with a total of 8 rebounds. For the Jazz, Karl Malone had recorded 31 points with 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and one steal followed by 10 points and 5 assists from John Stockton.
Rodman decided to hang his jersey in 2000 after playing just 12 games with the Dallas Mavericks. He finished averaging 7.3 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists shooting 52.1% from the field and 58.4% from the line.

Fans appeared to be upset yet not surprised by how the Jazz fan had reacted. This finals marked the final time the world witnessed the great Bulls trio together on the floor. Michael Jordan had called for retirement once again which led the Scottie Pippen’s departure from the team as well.
