The world witnessed a spurt of pure joy after Real Madrid upset the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) during the UEFA Champions League games. Real had scored 0 in the first leg of round 16 as Paris got to beat them after Kylian Mbappe scored a goal during the 90th minute of the game. This match was a complete take over by Madrid as Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick eliminating PSG from the tournament altogether.
Real had 21 shots taken during the game landing just 7 on target. They had possession for 44% of the battle while Paris got more time with it. Each team had 4 yellow cards drawn. The matchup brought fans and followers off their seats celebrating Real’s victory in one of the most waited bouts of the season. Even NBA players expressed their excitement over the beautiful knockout given by Benzema and his team.

As the world celebrated Madrid’s victory, NBA player Luka Doncic had also shown his excitement towards the brilliant game. The player tweeted, “HALA MADRID! #campeones.” Doncic also has a history with Real Madrid Basketball after playing of them prior to being signed by the NBA. He made his debut at the tender age of 16 in 2015. The former Rookie of the Year led his Real Madrid team to win a Euro League title two years after his arrival. He won the MVP of the league that season including ACB Most Valuable Players, Best Young Player and was selected as an All-Decade player of the Euro League 2010-20.
Besides Luka Magic, another player who has had an amazing season Joel Embiid was completely flabbergasted over the win. Embiid has been a long-time supporter of Real Madrid. He said, “This is incredible. I’m still shocked. What a win!! UEFA thought they could punish RM for the super league and they lost #HalaMadrid.” Embiid went bonkers over social media giving a commentary of the match.
