“Utter Disgrace” Fans lash onto Kobe Bryant and Gianna’s statue made at crash site for not recognizing other victims

It has been just more than two years since the unfortunate and horrific helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, took away one of basketball’s most prized possessions, Kobe Bryant along with his daughter. That particular incident saw seven other victims losing their lives along with the Bryants. Now, on the two-year death anniversary, a bronze statue of Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna was placed on the crash site, making fans all over the world incredibly angry.
The helicopter crash, which took place two year ago was determined by the federal investigators as having been caused by pilot disorientation due to foggy weather. To those who are not aware, the bronze state being spoken about is created by sculptor Dan Medina portraying Kobe Bryant wearing his iconic 24-numbered Lakers jersey and having kept his arm around his daughter, Gianna who held a basketball in her hand.

Now with the intention of Dan Medina was to pay tribute to arguable G.O.A.T of basketball. Many fans took it in the other way. With other victims also suffering apart from Kobe and Gianna, some deemed the statue as ‘disrespectful’ as the sculptors of all the other victims are not encrypted. Although, their names are mentioned at the bottom of the statue, yet it did not stop some fanatics from launching shots.
“Still to this day my deepest condolences,” began one. “[But] respectfully in my most humble as a sincere opinion, nine people died including little girls, mothers, fathers, loved ones.”
“[It’s an] awesome gesture [but I] just thought maybe the others should be recognized as well,” it was suggested.
“I think this is a mistake,” began another disapproval. “There were seven others who also lost their lives, whose lives are just as important. What is this? A plaque for their grave also? Kobe and his daughter standing above them? This seems foul.
“If you’re gonna make a beautiful statue like this one, leave it for Kobe and his daughter, but don’t put the other names on it. No one needed Kobe Bryant and his daughter hovering above their names to recognize that this was a tragedy where multiple families and loved ones were impacted.”
