Rightly so, the five-star All-Star has made his way back into the NBA after 941 days and it seems like ‘Christmas-Day’ celebration at the Staples Center as the 31-years-old is scoring every point. From Kevin Durant to Stephen Curry to Draymond Green, all former and active teammates want to be a part of Thompson’s return. 

Knowing that Klay Thompson’s minutes are surely to take a compulsory game-time deduction, fans want to celebrate each time Thompson gets anywhere close to scoring a point. Having sat on the bench for more than 10 minutes and when he returned, made sure that he let the Cavaliers’ defense just who he is really is, as he followed up a thunderous dunk with his first 3-pointer in 941 days.

Playing in his 11th year in the NBA, Thompson is known to be an agile and fast-paced mover, and who also thought the same until he decided to take up his game a notch-above. Thompson received the ball behind the line, from where he decided to make a move towards the rim, with 3 Cavaliers charging their way towards the path of the 31-years-old. One might think that Thompson might back down, but he surely did not when he slammed home the thunderous dunk.

Moments after making the entire Warriors bench jump out of their seat, Klay Thompson was given the ball by Andrew Wiggins, who was left unmarked by the Cavaliers. Making sure the former scored his first three-pointer of the game as well. 

The Golden State Warriors have looked like the better team so far but the Cleveland Cavaliers are not backing down from posing a challenge. But with Thompson only getting started, will the away team be able to pull off the impossible? It remains to be seen as the festivity inside the Staples Center continues at its full pace.
