Jimmy Butler wants more intense rivalry to happen among the players in the NBA
In the recent interview of Jimmy Butler with Adam Caparell of Complex, he shared his honest opinion on the NBA’s current rule on the fight, beef, and brawls while he also questioned that intense rivalry in the current era is not impossible like 90’s and ’80s
The Heat star guard said, “I just think the game has changed in a lot of ways. They’re not letting you get into no brawls no more. Nobody’s going to let you do that. I wish that they would let us do that a little bit if I’m just being honest.”
Butler further added, “The game has just changed. It’s not as much banging and knocking people to the ground anymore. You can’t do it like that—you get a flagrant 1, a flagrant 2, a tech, something. I wish it would go back to that time.”

Jimmy Butler reveals his honest opinion on the Heats rivalry with Jokic Brothers.
Later in the interview, he was also questioned that are Miami heats and the Denver Nuggets star forward Nikola Jokic and his brothers in the rivalry? after a fight broke out between them on 8th November 2021. To which Jimmy Butler replied:
“I don’t think that’s a rivalry.” Five-times All-star later added, “It sounds good. But I don’t even want to get into it. He’s a hell of a player.”
Although Jimmy Butler has no intention to continue his beef with the Jokic brothers, but his thoughts regarding the rivalry in NBA are wild and it seems that it might turn the basketball court into a wrestling ring. Moreover, it’s not going to happen until NBA Commissioner Adam Silver decides to change the rules.
