Watch: Chris Paul gives an Earful to Landry Shamet after Coast-to-Coast Attempt
After playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 2019-2020 NBA Season, Chris Paul was traded to the Phoenix Suns in 2020 for a $120 Million deal. The deal is liable for 4 years and this was signed when Chris certainly had offers from other teams. It is quite evident that the Phoenix Suns flourished under Paul’s leadership skills and his presence gives them a lot of scopes to learn and grow by watching his versatile plays. But still what made Chris sign an extended deal with the Suns?
Well, the answer is very simple. In an interview, Paul reveals that the Phoenix Suns are closer to his home that is Los Angeles where his family stays and Phoenix has become his 2nd family. So, he wants to stay and reach higher levels with them.
So, when the 11 time NBA All-Star tells you something you should listen to it, and seems like Laundry Shamet learned it the hard way.
Chris Paul teaches Landry Shamet a crucial Lesson
In the third quarter with 2:25 on the clock, Landry Shamet goes in for a drive-in. Though the ball goes in the basket earning the Suns another two points over the Lakers Shamet’s momentum took him outside the court and he tripped on a cameraman sitting by the coast of the court.
Landry though looks back and holds the cameraman’s hand but forgets to give him the helping to sit right back up, and goes on his way. But Chris Paul went and helped the fallen cameraman and while doing so he called Landry back and told him not to walk away like without helping.
Seems like Paul is Suns’ moral administrator and wants them to respect everyone whether present on the court or outside the court.
The Suns continuing their pace have reached the top spot on the Western Conference after beating the LA Lakers in a very dominating match of 108-90. With this victory, the Suns have reached a 25-5 game record, and their fourth consecutive win.
The Suns will lock horns with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.
