Watch: Twitter goes berserk as Austin Reaves leads Los Angeles Lakers to victory against Dallas Mavericks in overtime

Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks had a very close contested match-up at American Airlines Center which was further sent to overtime by the Los Angeles Lakers. Austin Reaves sealed the game with a three pointer to sign the win deal for the Los Angeles Lakers in the overtime.


The Los Angeles Lakers are currently ranked at 6th position in the western conference with the record of 16-13 (W-L) and the Dallas Mavericks are currently ranked at 8th position in the western conference with the record tied at 14 wins and 14 losses. The game was close contested and Mavericks played their heart out with every possible effort as the team was missing Luca Doncic.

Kristaps Porzingis stepped up and dropped 23 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists against the Lakers and was followed by Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr. Impacting both the sides of court while dropping 25 and 20 points respectively. LeBron James had 24 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds when the final whistle was called after Austin Reaves hit the game winner. Russell Westbrook was good at playmaking and almost recorded a triple double with 23 points, 9 assists and 10 rebounds.

Austin Reaves went undrafted in the 2021 National Basketball Association’s Draft and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this season. He is now also known as “AR-15” especially for his clutch game winner against the Dallas Mavericks resulting in a 107-104 win for the Los Angeles Lakers.


Austin Reaves is a great asset for the team when it is regarding shooting the ball as the rook has a great shooting skillset. He had 15 points, 2 assists and 7 rebounds against Mavs with 83.3 shooting percentage from downtown making 5 out of 6 attempted 3 pointers.


Austin got the ball passed to him by Russell Westbrook and with quick release shot a three which ended up closing the game. He is the new hero of L.A as he won it all for the Los Angeles Lakers today and is receiving mad love and appreciation from the purple and gold army.
