“You can hear a mouse urinate on those two playoff tickets this team prematurely sent to Flea” Rob Parker bursts out at Lakers after 2021-22 season ends in tragic fashion
Rob Parker on LA Lakers
Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers faced another unfortunate loss against the Phoenix Suns. LA had a fairly good start to the game outscoring the Suns 31-28 before they took over the remaining three quarters. They faced their seventh straight losing 110-121. This officially pulls the Lakers out of playoff contention.
The Lakers did not start LeBron James today after coach Frank Vogel confirmed that he had soreness in his ankle. They were left with players, Anthony Davis who scored 21 points and 13 rebounds as well as Russell Westbrook finishing with 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Lakers’ shooting splits were .453/.310/.767%. Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. He has been averaging 35.8 points over the last five games that he has started.
Los Angeles Lakers officially slip out of playoff contention
As hopeful as the Los Angeles Lakers and their fan base have been throughout the rough journey, the franchise has now officially slipped from playoff contention. Coach Vogel opened up about the situation saying, “We’re extremely disappointed. We wanted to play our part in bringing success to Laker basketball and we fell short. It’s not been due to a lack of effort. We have all put in the work. Guys stayed fighting right to the end.”
The Lakers may have made a few bad choices during the off-season which could have been avoided if they had signed other talents to the team. Despite a decent season being put up by Russell Westbrook, it is obvious that he has no suitable role from him on the team. American sports anchor Rob Parker quickly decided to fire shots toward the grieving team saying this on Twitter, “It’s so quiet in LA right now that you can hear a mouse urinate on those two playoff tickets the @Lakers prematurely sent to @flea333.” Flea is an American musician who plays for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers revealed his favorite team is the Lakers and has been following them for 40 years.
