Brooklyn Nets star guard Kyrie Irving showed appreciation to the Cavaliers guard Darius Garland for his extraordinary performance as he tied the score with him in this crucial play-in game on Tuesday night

Kyrie Irving was on fire against the Cleveland Cavaliers as their defense had no answer to his offensive gameplay. The Nets guard scored 34 points, 12 assists, and made 12 of 15 from field goals, with 3 of 6 from behind the arc. Well, no one was able to stop him, but Cavs star guard Darius Garland was the one who kept retaliating and brought the crucial points for the team.

Garland pretty much tied Irving’s scoring with 34 points, five assists, and was 13 of 24 from the field goal and 3 of 6 from behind the arc. However, his effort was not enough to bring the victory for the Cavs but through this performance, he earned the respect of everyone present in the arena. When the game ended even Kyrie Irving personally talked to him and appreciated his work in this crucial game.

The Nets dominated the entire game from the moment they took 20 points to lead in the first quarter. The team was led by Irving in scoring but received the support of teammate Kevin Durant who scored 25 points and 11 assists, even Bruce Brown added 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Andre Andre Drummond scored 16 points.

Thanks to a good partnership, the Nets were able to beat the Cavaliers 115-108 and secure their 7th place in the east, and have even confirmed their first-round matchup with the Boston Celtics which will start on Sunday.

Irving who was previously the part of the Celtic squad said, “I know that team very well and they know us very well and it’ll be a back and forth, and once you throw that ball in the air, you’re going to really see some spectacular basketball.”

 Even Durant admitted, “It ain’t going to be that easy, I’m going to tell you that.”
