It seems like every day is a new and different experience for the Los Angeles Lakers. The team in purple and gold went head to head against the Memphis Grizzlies only to find themselves bloodied on the battlefield, again. This was the fourth and final game of the regular season series between the two teams and the Grizzlies have won three of them.

The Lakers have a roster filled with top-level talent like Carmelo Anthony, who was one of the best scorers in the league during his prime. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis, who have been great scorers themselves along with great defensive skills. And not to mention role players such as Malik Monk, Talen Horton-Tucke, and others.

Despite having a “top-heavy” team, the Lakers have struggled to keep it consistent this season. Why?, Because of injuries, age and COVID-19. But when LeBron and Davis were out, the team still had Russell Westbrook who had the potential to lead the squad but just simply could not.

Before their loss against the Grizzlies, the Lakers were on a four-game win streak. It seems like analysts of the Undisputed had made bets on the team based on their recent success, did they disappoint? Skip Bayless had highlighted a few things about the Grizzlies with Dillon Brooks existing on the team due to an ankle injury he had sustained against the Los Angeles Clippers, and both Steven Adams as well as head coach Taylor Jenkins entering health and safety protocols.

With regards to two of the Grizzlies’ top players, Skip Bayless sent a tweet saying that he got “snookered.”

Bayless had thought he lost the best that he seemed to have made rooting against the Lakers team, but fate had a different plan. “You got me. I thought man, the way the Lakers are playing if you take Dillon Brooks out of there again that as great as Ja is, as great as Desmond Bane is. I don’t know! Because it seemed like the Lakers just had more firepower. And then this happened.”

He explained highlighting LeBron James’ MVP caliber performance and nobody else on the roster working as hard as him. Besides LeBron, only two players had scored 16 points each and the rest had barely produced on offense.

Skip Bayless leaves out no facts and brings everything out in the open. He brought up a quote that was said by the NBA King, LeBron who was with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the time. LeBron had called his Cavaliers team “top-heavy as f*@K” that may have been only directed towards the likings of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, as Bayless had said.

“Last night, they were weirdly top-heavy with only the guy in year nineteen. So if that guy who just turned 37 is all you got at the top… you’re gonna have no chance against Memphis without Dillon Brooks and Steven Adams,” said Bayless. With consideration to their loaded team, according to the analyst, the Lakers were top-heavy with just LeBron at the top.

LeBron James finished the game with yet another 35 point game while recording 9 rebounds and 7 assists on 33 minutes of playing time. Russell Westbrook did not fare well on offense after having scored just six points with 2 on 12 shooting. Wayne Ellington and Austin Reaves had a total of 32 points divided equally on much lower minutes played.
