The last season gave us a final four comprised of four college basketball powerhouses: Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, and Villanova. Can we expect another action-packed finale to the season? All signs point to yes.

It is hard to call who will be in 2022/23 final four, but the Kentucky Wildcats look like a good pick. They are even stronger than they were last season and have all the pieces in place for dominance on the court. Duke are a perennial pick, and Kansas are ready to defend its title all the way to April.

Any one of these three could go all the way. Add your own pick to the list and you could make an interesting wager on the final four with one of the top bookies to bet on college basketball games. Now is the perfect time to place this kind of bet as the season is barely beginning. Go with your gut.

One of the advantages college ball has over the pro league is that it is much more unpredictable. In some ways, every team has a shot at greatness. There have to be winners and losers, but with college basketball, it feels like that could be anyone. Who knows which team will stand out, and stand the test of March Madness to reach Houston in April?

The NCAA Div I is always full of surprises and dark horses that seem to spring out of the shadows to set alight college courts across the nation. This season, like any other, has a number of contenders that may upset the applecarts of the big boys.

The Xavier Musketeers have all the right ingredients to become David to the NCAA’s Goliaths. Sean Miller is a highly capable coach with a roster of talented players beneath him. Xavier will be a team to watch this season.

Seniors for the Win

There are plenty of great freshmen players this season, but it is the game’s elder statesmen that will decide who wins and who loses. Oscar Tshiebwe is a double-double machine who pumps out points for Kentucky and will be given a platform to dominate this season. Look out for Caleb McConnell at Rutgers too. He is an all-round, end-to-end, two-way powerhouse. Don’t let the fact that he is the reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year fool you, he can play at either end of the court.

There is so much to look forward to for the 2022/23 NCAA men’s basketball season. It’s college basketball, so anything can happen. Only time will tell if this preview hit any nails on the head and got its predictions right. Until then, Go Wildcats!
