Yesterday’s playoff game between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers, led by Jalen Brunson, Knicks supporters celebrated in a unique yet familiar way outside Madison Square Garden. Despite the Knicks facing the 76ers, not a single Knicks fan forgot about Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.
Trae Young‘s name was being chanted by the Knicks supporters, who were creating a sequel to the 2021 playoffs. The Knicks supporters, who have always used his name as a symbol of their animosity toward them, have not liked Young.

It was the obvious thing that Knicks fans did. Though the Atlanta Hawks and Young are not even in the postseason, he has a very dusty history with the Knicks, especially with their fanbase. Well, it started with Knicks vs. Hawks but ended up with Knicks fans vs. Trae Young in a very blistering manner.
In 2021, the Hawks defeated the Knicks in the playoffs and advanced to the Conference finals. The custom of “f**k Trae Young” was begun by fans during that game, and it never stopped.

Following Game 1 of their NBA Playoffs series against the Philadelphia 76ers, a few New York Knicks fans took disrespect to another level. They filmed themselves setting fire to a Joel Embiid jersey, displaying no regard or sympathy for the player who left Madison Square Garden injured after the game.
