The NFL season is up and running and the New Orleans Saints have kept their 2-0 streak intact. However, that wasn’t the only celebration happening in New Orleans the past days. Saints’ QB Derek Carr‘s wife Heather Carr shared glimpses of a recent luncheon for the ladies of the team.
Heather Carr took to Instagram on Friday to share a montage of clips from the Saints’ ladies’ luncheon. The space was brimmed with black and gold balloons with huge glowing Saints letter board. The event showcased live music from a band, and a bracelet station while the ladies mingled among each other. The clip had several pictures featuring a huge group as they posed together.

The 2024 NFL season marked the Saints starting quarterback’s eleventh season in the league. Derek Carr stayed with the Las Vegas Raiders for his initial nine seasons as their quarterback before joining the former. Last year in March, Carr agreed to a four-year, $150 million deal with team.
The better halves of the Saints players have long been a close-knit community. While the Saints match up on the field, their partners have a club of their own: the Wives Club. The show, Saints Wives Club, presented by Community Coffee features various wives of the members of the Saints who talk about diverse topics. Some of the women who have appeared on the show include Brittani Robertson, Nikki Jordan, Emily Hill, Courtney Hill, and Tamela Davis.
Derek Carr and Heather Carr’s history goes way back
Heather met Derek Carr way before he was drafted in the NFL. The pair attended the same college but were not introduced to each other in the campus. As a matter of coincidence, Heather waited on him at a dinner called BJ’s Brewhouse, where the latter tried his luck.
In a recent interview with the ABC30, Heather Carr revealed her initial thoughts about now-husband were starkly different. She joked wanting nothing to do with the ‘typical football guy’. She even gave him her wrong number, but Carr sent the ball in her court by asking her to call him whenever she was ready.
One thing led to another, and the couple ended up getting married on June 29, 2012. Two years down the road, Derek Carr got selected by the Raiders in the second round of the draft. Now the couple has four children together.
