Captain Kane Williamson delivered yet again for New Zealand with a scintillating century against Pakistan in the second Test at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Earlier, after having bowled out Pakistan for 297 courtesy Kyle Jamieson‘s five-wicket-haul, the Black Caps lost their first three wickets for just 71 runs. However, Williamson joined Henry Nicholls and the duo saw out the day with an unbeaten partnership of 215.

Williamson ended the day with 112 runs off 175 balls while Nicholls was on 89 off 186 balls. The New Zealand score read 286/3. With 7 wickets in hand and trailing by just 11 runs, New Zealand will look to go on and notch up a huge score to bat Pakistan out of the game and push for an innings-defeat. Following the World No 1 Kane Williamson’s century, Twitter erupted with appreciation for the batsman.
