Ryan Clark and Lamar Jackson

Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr. is a well-known entity in the world of the NFL. The star quarterback who features for the Baltimore Ravens played college football at Louisville, where he mesmerized one and all with his astounding performances.

In fact, he won the Heisman Trophy during his sophomore year and in his rookie season itself, Lamar got a chance to become his team’s starting QB after an injury to Joe Flacco. However, there were a few question marks about Lamar’s availability for the Ravens in the coming season as he is yet to formally sign a deal.

All these speculations did not prevent him from joining the franchise for the minicamp ahead of the 2022 NFL season but still, there is still some clarity needed about where the Ravens-Lamar relationship is going. Nevertheless, there is no doubt about the fact that Lamar is a fantastic QB, however, recently, the list of top 10 QBs according to league executives, coaches and players was put together and surprisingly, Lamar’s name was nowhere to be found.

NFL analyst Ryan Clark was not pleased to see Lamar being left out. “Lamar doesn’t sit with what the Ravens do, Lamar is what the Ravens do that’s why it is mind boggling that he is not in the top 10,” Ryan claimed on the recent episode of Get Up, adding that Jackson is not a system quarterback, because he is the system.

Aaron Rodgers topped the list, Patrick Mahomes took the second spot, Josh Allen was at three, Brady at four, Burrow at five, Stafford at six, Justin Herbert at seven, Russell Wilson at eight, Deshaun Watson at nine and Cowboys’ Dak Prescott was placed at number 10.

Not many can do what Lamar can on the football field which is why Ryan Clark was visibly livid. Many fans do actually agree with Ryan’s take and are of the opinion that there is no way Dak Prescott makes the list while Lamar sits out. It will be interesting to see how Jackson performs in the coming season.
