Aaron Rodgers’ State Farm commercials might be no more. What does the future hold for his own brand?

Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers quarterback, has been a virtual presence on athletic events, game shows, and the nightly news for over a decade. Rodgers drew attention and condemnation after testing positive to Covid-19 and revealing he had not been vaccinated. As a result, state Farm advertising with Aaron Rodgers then vanished from the airways. According to Apex Marketing Company, a marketing and research firm, he appeared in just 1.5% of the approximately 400 State Farm advertisements that aired Sunday.
Apex verified in an email, compared to two preceding Sunday (Oct. 24 and 31), where “Brady ads” amounted for over 20% of all United Farm spots. According to Apex President Eric Smallwood, “monitoring indicates this wasn’t a planned drop and more reactive since no significant new ads were stopped in its tracks,” as reported by Action Network
We disagree with some of his statements: State Farm

State Farm complimented Aaron Rodgers as a “great role model for our business for over a decade.” But it tried to disassociate itself from his anti-vaccine sentiments.
“We disagree with some of his statements, but we appreciate his right to express himself,” the business added. “We acknowledge that our customers, employees, agents, and brand ambassadors come from diverse backgrounds. Everyone’s rights to pick a side depending on personal situations,” State Farm stated, encouraging coronavirus immunisations.
State Farm spokesperson Gina Morss-Fischer did not immediately answer whether the business intended to continue using Aaron Rodgers in its advertising. Rodgers’ nine-year association with Wisconsin’s Prevea Health terminated Saturday, the company revealed Friday. Prevea claimed on Twitter that the decision was mutual. Aaron Rodgers has recently appeared in Adidas, Bose, Izod, and Pizza Hut advertisements. However, according to an email from Domino’s, they haven’t “worked with him” since 2012. The status of Rodgers’ commercial relationships with the three other businesses was unclear Monday, and inquiries seeking explanation went unanswered.
The creator of Brand Keys, Robert Passikoff, said Aaron Rodgers placed State Farm in a challenging position since his vaccination claims contradicted the company’s mission.
“As an insurance company, you’re supposed to look out for your customers,” he added. “You can debate his points, but people shouldn’t be sick. Passikoff noted that Rodgers’ failure to be vaccinated reflects all of them and draws them into a debate they don’t need.”
Rodgers said he is sensitive to a chemical in two of the FDA-approved injections on Friday’s “The Pat McAfee Exhibit” on Sirius XM. However, he didn’t explain which chemical he was allergic to or how he knew. Instead, Aaron Rodgers stated he got monoclonal and vancomycin and praised podcaster Joe Rogan for promoting unproven Covid therapies.
The FDA has not approved ivermectin for use in humans and has advised against using the veterinary version. However, other firms who utilise Aaron Rodgers in marketing posters or intend to do this in the next year, Passikoff believes, “will move back from god,” if only to prevent social, political conflagrations.
He stated about the social and party conflicts surrounding vaccinations, “there’s no need to wade in.”
Rodgers may ally with businesses seeking to target people outside the norm, such as those who reject the medical consensus on vaccinations or the coronavirus scepticism associated with sure Republicans. However, Larry DeGaris, a sports marketing professor at university in Indiana, doubts a corporation would go that way
“Why would you invite controversy when there are so many zero-risk options? I’m sure some CEOs of privately held firms, like MyPillow, would do it. But not the major brands. After a “cooling-off” phase, Passikoff believes Aaron Rodgers may return to corporate pitchmandom. I don’t think memories are that lengthy,” he admitted. “The memories will fade when Covid no longer opens every newscast in America.”
