Andrew Whitworth is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. The vastly experienced footballer started his career back in 2006 when he was roped in by the Cincinnati Bengals. After staying with the franchise for as many as 10 years, Andrew went to the Rams in 2017.

The 40-year-old tackle has won a plethora of awards in his illustrious career and is still going strong. Recently, the big man was conferred with the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. As it turns out, Whitworth is not just a fantastic footballer but a magnificent public speaker as well.

During his award acceptance speech, Andrew delivered some incredible points which compelled everyone in the audience to applaud the great man with all their might. “I’m here to tell you we have more work to do,” Whitworth said in his speech adding that he is extremely thankful to each and every admirer of the game who contributes to making the sport great.

Social media for bringing awareness to all our causes, but that’s not enough. We need more action. Whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, this is the truth: The people who come to see us play, who watch our game on TV, who buy our jerseys, who follow you on social media, they’re why our game exists,” he said.

It’s why we have a field to play on. We are financially supported and provided the opportunity to play a kid’s game because of the support we receive from communities across this country and across the world,” Andrew further added. All his points made complete sense as it is the fans who make any sport or sportsman great.
