Tom Brady is my friend because I’m a good football player: Antonio Brown
Antonio Brown has been in the news lately, mostly for the wrong reasons. Not long ago, he pulled out the biggest stunt of his career during the Bucs game against the Jets. In the third quarter of the contest, Brown completely lost his cool and tossed his T-shirt and gloves into the crowd, and ran towards the sidelines shirtless.
After what he did, it was evident that he will be criticized and that is exactly what transpired. He was kicked out of the Bucs’ camp for his outrageous meltdown. Antonio, in a lengthy post, gave the explanation for the meltdown in which he accused the franchise of forcing him to play with an ankle injury.
“Brady needs me to play football”: Antonio Brown
Tom Brady is someone who is known for supporting Antonio Brown, however, even he found it exceedingly difficult to back Brown on his shirtless meltdown. Talking about his relationship with Brady, Antonio made a few points on The Full Send Podcast.
“To me, a friend is someone who’s got your back,” Brown said about Tom. “Not everybody in sports is going to be your friend. Tom Brady’s my friend why? Because I’m a good football player. He needs me to play football,” he added.
Brown also made it absolutely clear that coach Bruce Arians is definitely NOT one of his friends. “Imagine the guy who you think has your back, who you flew herewith to do a mission, and they know your situation, and you get there and you’re battling with him, he tells you to get the fuck out of there?” Brown said.
“I’m an alpha male. If you discriminate on my public image and my name, at that point it’s fuck you too professionally,” he further added.
