“I Fu***d This Up”: Bill Belichick ‘accidentally’ congratulated Brian Flores instead of Brian Daboll for landing the Giants job

The NFL is one of the biggest sporting leagues on the planet. The games are watched worldwide and several youngsters aspire to become a part of the league one day. However, from time to time, the league also gets involved in a number of controversies.
Recently, former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against the NFL and several franchises accusing them of racial discrimination. According to the lawsuit, Flores has claimed that even after the “Rooney Rule” came into being, there is still a lack of diversity when it comes to hiring individuals.

According to the Rooney Rule, the NFL franchises are required to interview candidates from diverse backgrounds for hiring a Head Coach. However, Flores has claimed that even after the rule, racism still remains a major reality in the hiring process. In the lawsuit, Flores’ attorney also included a text from Bill Belichick.
Actually, Bill had accidentally congratulated Flores via text for landing a job with the New York Giants while he was trying to text Brian Daboll. As per the lawsuit, Belichick texted Flores, “Sounds like you have landed, congrats!!” The screenshots of the chat show that Flores asked Belichick if he knew something Flores wasn’t aware of.
Belichick responded to him by saying, “Buffalo & NYG that you are their guy.” Flores then enquired if Belichick thought he was talking to Brian Daboll. “Sorry I f*cked this up,” Belichick replied Flores. “I double-checked and misread the text. I think they are naming Brian Daboll. I’m sorry about that,” Belichick’s text further read.
