“Root cause of Racism – White people”: Bomani Jones lashes out at ‘White’ decision makers in NFL

The NFL is undoubtedly one of the biggest sporting leagues on the planet. The games are watched across the world and innumerable youngsters aspire to become a part of the league one day. However, from time to time, the league also gets involved in a number of controversies, and racism is definitely an aspect on which the NFL authorities have been called out multiple times.
Recently, former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit against the NFL and several franchises accusing them of racial discrimination. According to the lawsuit, Flores has claimed that even after the “Rooney Rule” came into being, there is still a lack of diversity when it comes to hiring individuals.

Flores has claimed that racism still remains a major reality in the hiring process. As soon as the news broke, innumerable people came out in Flores’ support and called out NFL for racial discrimination. Talking about the same, Sports Writer Bomani Jones made a few explosive points on The Le Batard Show.
Dan Le Batard asked Bo what needs to change to bring in more inclusivity. “What has to change, what can change, what won’t change,” Dan asked to which Bo replied by saying, “White People.” Bo further said, “I just don’t know why people try to make it far more complex than it is.”
“What’s the problem, white people. Not every single individual white person, but in the macro, in the aggregate, who are the ones that who are making these decisions, white people. Who are the ones who won’t change their decision-making, white people. Who are the ones that only do anything in a different way when it comes to these matters at the threat of litigation, white people.”
“I need to ask you all, what is it that can change? You are the ones who know these white people, you are the ones who hang out with these white people, you are the ones who know the ones who pretend to be good people and make all the same decisions as everybody else,” Bo further stated.
