Born July 30, 2001, Preston ‘Chubba’ Purdy is the younger brother of NFL QB Brock Purdy. Their father Shawn Purdy had also been a baseball athlete and Chubba was always inspired to pursue a career in sports.

Chubba Purdy is an American college athlete who plays quarterback for the University of Nevada. He is the younger brother of NFL professional Brock Purdy. Brock originally played college football at Iowa State University before being drafted into the NFL in 2022. Brock now plays QB for the San Francisco 49ers.

Chubba Purdy went to Perry HS in Gilbert, Arizona, where he played football throughout high school. Unlike his brother, Chubba would go on to play for Florida State while Brock went to Iowa.

Initially, Chubba Purdy committed to play for the University of Louisville but would eventually start his college career at Florida State. Ironically, it was against Louisville that Chubba made his college debut for Florida State.

Where does Chubba Purdy play?

Recently in January 2024, Chubba Purdy announced that he will be transferring to the University of Nevada to play for the Nevada Wolf Pack. This will be his second transfer in the collegiate circuit. Although he wanted to commit to San Jose State for the Spartans, the 22-year-old will be playing for the Wolf Pack in the coming season.

Previously, after two seasons with the Florida State Seminoles, Chubba transferred to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln on January 17, 2022. The talented quarterback made his first start for his new team against the Minnesota Golden Gophers after their starting QB, Casey Thompson, was injured.
