“A woman should know how to cook & when to shut up”: Cam Newton complaints about modern women not catering to a man’s needs

Cameron Jerrell Newton has made a name for himself on the biggest stage. The NFL career leader in quarterback rushing touchdowns made a comeback to his former franchise in the 2021 season. After spending as many as 9 years with the Panthers, he went to the Patriots in 2020.
However, he again joined the Panthers in 2021 and everyone expected him to regain his lost glory. It would be fair to say that the season turned out to be quite a disappointment for the Panthers and for Newton and now, Cam has got himself involved in a major controversy.

During the latest episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Newton talked about his childhood days and everything was going well before all hell broke loose. “I grew up in a three-parent household. My mom, my father, and my grandmother. And I knew what a woman was. Not a bad b*tch!” Newton claimed as per mediaite.com.
When the host asked what’s the difference, he said, “A bad b*tch is a person who’s just, you know, ‘Girl I’m a bad b*tch, I’m doing this, I’m doing that.’ I look the part but I don’t act the part,” Newton stated. “There’s a lot of women who are bad b*tches. And I say b*tches in a way, not to degrade a woman but just to go off the aesthetic of what they deem is a boss chick,” he continued.
“Now a women for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs. Right? And I think a lot of times when you get that ascetic of ‘I’m a boss bitch, Imma this, Imma that.’ No baby! But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet! You don’t know how to allow a man to lead,” Newton claimed.
Apparently, this is not the first time when Newton has said something about how a woman should behave. Back in 2017, a female sports journalist had asked Newton about another player “embracing the physicality of routes.” In reply, Newton first laughed and then stated, “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes like, it’s funny.”
His comments were so ridiculous that the league was forced to issue a statement condemning them. “The comments are just plain wrong and disrespectful to the exceptional female reporters and all journalists who cover our league,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy had told PFT. “They do not reflect the thinking of the league.”
