Super Bowl LVI is just a few hours away. The biggest and most important game in the NFL will be played against NFC Champions Los Angeles Rams and AFC Champions Cincinnati Bengals.

Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer was among the media personalities making rounds ahead of the Super Bowl. He had an interesting take about Joe Burrow’s future with the organization which stirred up quite the anger amongst the Bengals fans.

Palmer was asked about Burrow’s future with the Bengals during an appearance on NBC’s Brother From Another show. “I think Joe’s gonna sit back after this game, win or lose and be like ‘man, am I gonna re-sign with this team? Are they willing to do what it takes to continuously build to get back to the next Super Bowl? Next year and the year after that and the year after that? How are they willing to structure salary cap wise to be able to afford me, but to also be able to afford Ja’Marr Chase when he comes up or Tee Higgins or maybe even re-do this offensive line?’”, Palmer replied.

Palmer could’ve delivered his thoughts in a better manner. Joe Burrow isn’t leaving Cincinnati anytime soon the Bengals won’t have any problems retaining him and the core. The Bengals front office hasn’t given any indication that it will cause them any trouble. There will be due process among the team and players when the appropriate time comes.

Still, it was weird of Carson Palmer to bring up this issue days before the Super Bowl, and given how Palmer’s time ended with the Bengals, fans were not thrilled about his comments.
