Chris Broussard feels that Aaron Rodgers has to ‘accomplish’ this task if he truly wishes to enhance his LEGACY
Chris Broussard and Aaron Rodgers
The Wild Card round of the playoffs has ended. All the winning teams from last weekend will now advance to the Divisional Round for some pretty high-octane encounters. Wild card weekend’s games were just the preview for the most action-packed games of the playoffs which will take place this weekend.
Chris Broussard, host of First Things First has compiled a list of all the quarterbacks in order for ‘players under duress entering the Divisional Round’. In the divisional rounds, teams will be pressuring QBs and Broussard has ranked which QB will have the most pressure coming from all sides this weekend.
Aaron Rodgers has not made the Super Bowl despite winning 13 games for 3 straight seasons
Chris Broussard said that the reigning MVP, Aaron Rodgers, will be under a lot of pressure in the divisional round. He said, “At No.1 on this list is our man Aaron Rodgers. It’s gonna be great for him to win his 4th MVP, second all-time to Peyton Manning. It’ll be great especially second straight MVP. But the only way for him to really, truly enhance his legacy is to win a Super Bowl.”
“You’ve gone 13 wins, this is your third straight year and not a trip to Super Bowl. But if you lose not to Tom Brady at home but you lose to Jimmy G at home to a wild card team wand you’ve got some of you’re defensive players coming back, you’re fully healthy, you got the best receiver in the league, we gonna start looking at Aaron Rodgers like awesome QB, no doubt. But why couldn’t he win more in the postseason.”
Jimmy Garoppolo is fifth on Broussard’s list. He said that if Jimmy G plays a clean game, the 49ers have a serious shot at defeating the Packers. The fourth QB to be under pressure is Bills’ Josh Allen. Coming off of one of the most amazing cold-weather performances, Josh Allen has to follow it up against Kansas City Chiefs.
Patrick Mahomes, the 3rd QB on the list is considered to be one of the best QB in the league. If Mahomes loses the next game, he will lose his status and he won’t even be considered as the best young QB anymore. And the second QB with the most pressure heading into the weekend is Matthew Stafford. The Rams got to the same position last year as well with Jared Goff as their QB. But Stafford has to win the game and justify his trade which cost the Rams a lot of picks.
If Aaron Rodgers loses in the divisional round, it will tarnish Rodgers’ reputation and there will be some serious concern about his ability to win matches in the postseason. The Green Bay Packers will face San Fransico 49ers at their home ground this weekend.
