The New England Patriots have been a very successful franchise over the years. They have been rather consistent and under Tom Brady, they did astoundingly well. Till now, the Patriots have won the coveted title as many as six times.

Even last season, they did well and were able to make their way to the playoffs. However, in the Wild Card Round, they were brutally thrashed by the Buffalo Bills. Ahead of the 2022 season, the Patriots had a few points to address, and the experts were expecting them to make a few changes.

However, as it turns out, Colin Cowherd is not happy with the way Bill Belichick is shaping the squad for the coming season. “I swear to god, if I didn’t know better, I would say he is tanking it and giving Robert Kraft his franchise back with no coordinators, no skilled people, and no elite edge rushers,” Colin said on the latest episode of “The Volume.”

“Look at the roster, they can’t stop the Buffalo Bills with J.C Jackson, he is gone. They can’t score and keep up with the teams like the Chiefs or the Bills. I don’t know what they are doing. Reports are now that Belichick will call the plays. Doesn’t it feel like he is still p*ssed about the Jimmy G trade?” he stated.

“He’s going to handcraft the franchise and retire and it’s going to have no coordinators, they’ll need a new head coach and no playmakers,” Colin further added. It will be interesting to see if the Patriots are able to get together a good team or not. Needless to say, they have got a lot to do.
