The Dallas Cowboys had everything they needed to go the distance this time around. The star players were firing, the offense was doing great, the defense was stepping up. However, midway into the season, Dak Prescott went into a slump.

In fact, the Cowboys’ offense was not performing as per expectations. The defense bailed them out in many games but everyone was a little nervous about how the team will perform in tough games. As expected by many, the Cowboys failed to click as a unit against the 49ers in the Wild Card game.

The Cowboys looked underconfident right from the beginning. They failed miserably in the first and third quarters which allowed the 49ers to get on top of the game. Although Prescott and Co tried their best in the final quarter, it was all too late by then.

After the game, several Cowboys fans went way overboard. They started throwing trash at the Cowboys players when they were exiting the ground. However, many also suggested that the fans were actually trying to hit the referees as some of the calls made by them went against the Cowboys.

In the post-game press conference, Dak was asked about his take on what had transpired. To this, Dak replied by saying, “We put our everything into the game, day in day out, trying our hardest. Nobody comes into the game expecting to lose and for people to react that way when they are supposed to be supporters is tough.”

When a journalist pointed out that the fans were actually aiming for the refs, Dak replied by saying, “f***ing credit to them then.” Dak’s frustration is apparent as many fans and experts have opined that the refs made some atrocious calls during the game which led to the Cowboys’ defeat.
