‘Look forward to a powerful and dynamic Zeke,’ Dallas Cowboys owner speaks on Ezekiel Elliott’s injury

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is out with a knee ailment, and he hasn’t gained more than 50 yards in a game in over a month. Elliott, however, refuses to blame his recent setbacks on his injured knee, but evidently, it’s affecting him.
The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is also optimistic that Eliott’s knee will be OK soon.
When will Ezekiel Elliott be ready for the optimal workload?
In a recent interview, Jones stated that he believes Elliott will be able to take a full workload for the remainder of the season.
Jones said, “His trainers, the people that are the closest to his health, his medical situation, they think he’s really good to go. And, so, I don’t see after a 10-day rest here, you know, a lot of times, if you can get through games, if you can push on, then that’s better for you than sitting it out.
He continued saying, “You actually, if you have an issue, it improves if you’re able to get through and not injure it more. He certainly didn’t injure anything more last night. So, I really look forward to a powerful and dynamic Zeke as we move on into this last part of the season.”

Elliott may take it easy

Whether it’s because of Elliott’s injury or not, Tony Pollard, the Cowboys’ second running back, has outperformed Elliott this season. As a result, the Cowboys won’t have to rush Elliott’s return. Jones, on the other hand, seems optimistic that Elliott will be ready for the final five games of the regular season and, perhaps, numerous games in the postseason.
The Dallas Cowboys will get an extended week off after their 27-17 win over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. The ten days leading up to a crucial NFC East showdown with Washington might be beneficial to running back Ezekiel Elliott.
