“A sight for sore eyes” – Detroit Lions HC Campbell on the return of RB D’Andre Swift

The Detroit Lions who are 2-12-1 have had a very tough season and the results reflect it and most of it has been due to the amount of injuries that they suffered throughout the season.
Detroit had their first victory of the season in week 13 when they defeated the Vikings. One good news for them is their star Running Back D’Andre Swift is fit again and is ready to play against the Seahawks on Sunday in week 17. Swift who got injured on Thanksgiving Day has missed 4 straight games and the Lions have missed him.
“He looks good,” Campbell said Friday

“You can tell that he’s comfortable and he’s got his confidence up. He’s ready. We were still getting him back in the flow last week. ‘Do we think he’ll be ready? What is his shoulder?’ But this week, you know it. You can see it. You can feel it. He’s looked great all week,” said Campbell, Detroit Lions Head Coach.
Swift was drafted with the 35th pick in the 2020 draft out of Georgia, He had a promising rookie season and has continued to perform better since then in his 2nd season. D’Andre Swift has had 555 rushing yards this season with 4 rushing touchdowns and has had 429 receiving yards with 2 touchdowns.
Lions hopeful for a big game for Swift against the Seahawks

“He looks fresh is what he looks like, which is awesome,” Campbell said. The Lions hope that D’Andre Swift can have a big game against the Seattle Seahawks as the Seahawks are currently 31st ranked defense in the NFL. The Lions have had a tough season so far and would hope that their young RB can bring some positive motion that they can carry into 2022 and have a good run in next season.
Detroit Lions will look forward to securing their 3rd win of the season against the struggling Seahawks who are 5-10 and are out of playoff contention.
