Dolphins insider Reveals an appalling fact about Brian Flores’ last days
Brian Flores
After the regular season of the NFL ended, many teams had a change in their personnel. The Giants fired Head Coach Joe Judge, Matt Nagy was finally relieved of his position as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, and the Vikings parted ways with Mike. Vic Fangio of the Broncos was also fired.
However, the firing which shocked almost everybody was that of Brian Flores. The Miami Dolphins fired Head Coach Brian Flores in a surprising turn of events. The Dolphins did not have a great start to the season but they were virtually unbeatable during the second half of the season.
Brian Flores managed to finish 8-1 in the second half of the season despite not talking to his coaching staff
Since Flores’ firing, there have been many interesting stories being leaked as to why the Dolphins parted ways with Flores. One of the more interesting stories being reported is that Flores “stopped communicating with his coaching staff.” Dolphins’ beat writer Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN informed that the Former Miami Dolphins Head Coach stopped talking with his staff around Thanksgiving time.
“He stopped communicating with his staff somewhere around really Thanksgiving and even about things like daily meeting plans,” said Marcel Louis-Jacques. “It’s my understanding that some of, at least, his assistants felt like they just didn’t know what was going on in his head. They didn’t know what he was thinking. They didn’t know what his plan was. And the incredible thing is that it continued through the winning streak. So they finish 8-1 as he’s not talking to people.”
“Football operation weren’t functioning at a level I wanted them to”: Dolphins’ owner on firing Brian Flores
“I determined the key dynamics of our football operation weren’t functioning at a level I want it to be and felt that this decision was in the best interest of the Miami Dolphins,” the team owner Stephen Ross said in a statement. “I believe we have a talented young roster in place and have the opportunity to be much better in 2022.”
The Dolphins started their season 1-7, which was devastating. However, things turned around as they remained undefeated for their next 7 games. The Dolphins’ hot streak was broken when they lost to the Tennessee Titans in Week 17. But the Dolphins ended their season with a victory over the New England Patriots.
Despite the poor performance, Brain Flores was close to cementing the Dolphins into the playoffs. Unfortunately, Flores was fired even after delivering a 9-8 winning season. The Dolphins wasted no time looking for Flores’ replacement. Even, Brian Flores seems to have landed on his feet pretty quickly as the Houston Texans had an interview with him after firing previous head coach David Culley.
