The 2022 NFL offseason is turning out to be one of the craziest offseasons in the history of the game, with players being traded left and right every day. The newest addition to the narrative was Kansas City Chiefs’ nimble-footed Wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The 28-year old signed a mammoth contract with the Miami Dolphins for 4 years. The newly signed contract will see him pocket a whopping $120m during the course of his time at the franchise with over $70 million guaranteed.

Drew Rosenhaus, Tyreek Hill’s agent joined Colin Cowherd to discuss the details of the Tyreek Hill trade to the Miami Dolphins. Rosenhaus detailed Tyreek’s departure from the Kansas City Chiefs and his pursuit to become the highest-paid WR. “When the Chiefs gave me permission to reach out to teams, I told them (the teams) what we were looking for,” Rosenhaus said.

Part of the trade would be — Tyreek would become the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history and we were looking to beat the (Davante) Adam’s contract o every level. And no one really said to be it was unreasonable. He’s more than a receiver. He’s a great return man, a guy that can score from anywhere on the field.”

“The Dolphins got the best offensive weapon in football. And we feel like had it not been the Dolphins, the Jets would’ve been a great choice as well, and staying in Kansas City was on the table until Tyreek made this decision.”

Tyreek Hill was already among the highest-paid receivers in the league on his current deal. But Davante Adams signed a five-year, $140 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders – nearly 50-percent more than he was earning in 2022. Hill wanted the same deal for himself but the Chiefs couldn’t afford such a contract so they decided to part ways with the star receiver.
