Former Cowboys WR, Michael ‘Playmaker’ Irvin had a discussion about two specific WRs who have to better their game with former Lions receiver, Nate Burleson. Talking about which receiver has to improve, Michael Irvin said, “I’m calling on Julio Jones to step up and not in a negative way because I know he has been hurt as he’s tried to grow into and learn his new team.”

In the 9 games that Jones has played this season, he has averaged 41.8 receiving yards per game which is his career-low stat in the 10 years that he has been playing. “This is the same beast that we’ve watched go for 300 yards, go over 250 yards 3 times in his career”, said Irvin. The 3x Super Bowl Champion said that if Julio Jones managed to get back in the 100 yards range, Tennessee Titans will be a team to reckon with in the playoffs.

Nate Burleson has asked Los Angeles Rams, WR Van Jefferson, to make more game-winning plays. “This isn’t a guy that hasn’t stepped up”, said Burleson. “He’s been big time. Ever since Robert Woods went down, he has elevated his role.” Van Jefferson has had 771 rec yards and 6 Tds so far in the season. Burleson said that even though the Rams’ offense revolves around Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. if Van Jefferson manages to be the third wide receiver to take advantage of their opponent’s defenses, “He will be an absolute monster and help his team do what they need to do.”

So, these two WRs are the ones everyone should be on the lookout for in the postseason. The postseason will commence on Sunday, 16 January.
