“You’ve got give both teams a fair shot,” Buffalo Bills’ Gabriel Davis gives massive judgement on NFL’s overtime rules

The Buffalo Bills suffered a heartbreaking defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs in their playoff encounter this season by a margin of 42-36. The defeat was even more difficult to digest due to the fact that it came only because of a wrong heads/tails call before the start of overtime.

It was probably the only wrong decision quarterback Josh Allen had made all night, and it was enough to give the Chiefs earn a victory at the expense of the Buffalo Bills. They scored a touchdown in the opening drive of overtime. This anti-climactic end has brought into question the NFL’s current overtime rules.

Gabriel Davis urged the NFL to give both the teams a fair chance which the coin toss does not permit

Richard Sherman brought up the issue saying, “These overtime rules man- I feel like you’ve got to give both teams a shot. If you give one team a touchdown then you give the other team a touchdown and then it’s a game. I feel like have to give a fair shot to both teams. Who knows what could have happened in that game but I feel like it would be fair.”

“That game was nervy for everyone and the coin toss was massive. Going back and forth with the points and it was literally the game of the coin toss at that point. Hopefully, that game has shown that the Overtime rules should be changed because you’ve got to give people their shot. You know what I mean, players depend on the coin toss,” said Gabriel Davis in response to the question posed by host Sherman.
